Swan Song - Last Words

I'm not sure if anyone reads these occasional rants of mine, but this shall be my last here in the blogging world.

I'll share what I shared with a friend recently. It is, as far as I'm concerned, the last word. Perhaps more a final warning to all…

Jesus is coming to take His Church home.
Are you ready?
Do you know Him?

You and I go back together a quite few years and I’ve never been this forthright with you like this. But I can’t hold back any longer. This is way too important. All I ask is that you think about what I share here. The crap we’re going through now is but a drop in the eternal bucket. There is hope, but not with what this dying world has to offer…

It’s not 1961. Times are very different now… nationally, globally. The near future is looking dark. The economy is a house of cards waiting to topple. We’re on the brink of WWIII starting. And now we’re talking nuclear. Then there’s climate extremes happening (no, Al Gore, it’s not warming)… wild weather, earthquakes increasing, volcanic activity rising in places once thought forever dormant. The whole earth is changing. The list of things happening in the world is a mile long. Just incredibly hard to fathom. Seems we’re living in a movie rather than reality. But, and most folks don’t want to hear it, the Bible foretold about these days. I believe we are living in the last of the last ones. God has been incredibly merciful and gracious, but His clock is running out and his judgement is coming.

Jesus Christ is truly the only Good News. It’s not about religion… going to church, trying to live a good life. It’s all about what He did for us… paid for our sins. We’ve all sinned. Sin is what’s wrong with the world. We all have fallen short of God’s perfect standard. Thankfully Jesus fulfilled what we couldn’t do by living a perfect life and taking our sins to the cross with Him… paying a debt that we can never repay… offering a free gift of salvation to anyone who would simply believe in Him and what He did for us. And on top of that He overcame death, came back to life and promises again that those who believe in His name will also have eternal life. And while this world is dying there’s a place called Heaven that Jesus said He was preparing a place for those that believe in Him.

This isn't fairy tale stuff written thousands of years ago. It’s not pie-in-the-sky, “good for you that you believe in this…whatever works for you” stuff. This is it. This is as real as it gets. I believe this with all my heart, mind and being.

I know this is a lot to ponder, but I pray that you take time to do so.

Jesus is real and He’s very much alive and “knocking at the door” to all who who hear Him and open up their lives to Him. John 3:16, which unfortunately has become so common and trite, still holds true and is the crux of the Good News.

Peace! (He alone offers true peace)

THIS IS IT!

This is it! — This is a short, but powerful video

of all that Jesus Christ is and is to all of us…

to all that believe on His name for salvation…

“if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” –Romans 10:9

THIS IS IT!

“Christianity 101” — The heart of the Gospel

The crux of the Cross — This is it!

And if this doesn't make saving sense to you then you have to ask yourself why. Is it because you don't see yourself as a sinner needing a Savior?…because, after all, there are so many other worse people in the world other than you?

Well, the fact is that all of us have fallen short of God's standard of righteousness. We ALL need a Savior to save us. Jesus said that if you hate your brother it's considered murder in God's sight. That if you lust after a woman (or a man) He considers it adultery.

God's way is perfection because He is perfect. We are not. We were born into a fallen, sin-filled world, one inherited from our first parents Adam and Eve. And because of the amazing gift of free will that God gave us we have the ability to choose or reject Him. But because of His amazing gift of His Son, Jesus, who freely gave up His life on the cross for us, we can be forgiven and have eternal life.

THIS IS IT! — If you don't know Jesus as your own Savior then you are unforgiven and remain guilty of your sins. But there remains a GLORIOUS, GRACIOUS option — Turn to Jesus and be saved!

HE IS

Such a powerful video presentation on the names of God.

THE GREAT I AM is all this and more.

The very One and Only GOD of the Universe …

The ONE who created all things—including YOU …

Became one of us to die for us … instead of us …

So that we may LIVE … eternally … for Him

And with Him

And have Him live in us

And to be Him to world around us …

To tell others of His goodness

His Mercy

And His Grace

So that others may come …

To know Him

And so it is to continue. This is the Gospel. The Good News of Jesus Christ. That God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

THIS GOOD NEWS is better than sharing any recipe or any funny video or anything else here on social media. This is LIFE. Sharing LIFE. The only true LIFE from the Father who created all Life.

I pray that if you don't know Jesus as your own Savior and Lord, then don't put it off any longer. What are you waiting for? More evidence that He Is? All it takes is a willingness and sincerity to seek Him and you will find Him. I did and He is everything to me and all that I need for this life and the next. And He loves you so very much and wants you to know Him as your own.

Christianity is all about knowing the God of the Universe, knowing His Son Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, Yashua Ha'Mashiach. The Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and The End.

Come to Him all of you, who are heavy burdened with the cares and worries of this life, and He will give you rest.

ARE YOU GROANING?

Originally posted July 2011, but bears repeating.

From Romans 8:

I believe that the present suffering is nothing compared to the coming glory that is going to be revealed to us. The whole creation waits breathless with anticipation for the revelation of God’s sons and daughters. Creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice—it was the choice of the one who subjected it—but in the hope that the creation itself will be set free from slavery to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of God’s children.

We know that the whole creation is groaning together and suffering labor pains up until now. And it’s not only the creation. We ourselves who have the Spirit as the first crop of the harvest also groan inside as we wait to be adopted and for our bodies to be set free. We were saved in hope. If we see what we hope for, that isn’t hope. Who hopes for what they already see? But if we hope for what we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Are you tired, weary, heavy laden, looking, seeking, desiring rest?

Christian, are you tired of this world and growing in hope and desiring for the Lord's return?

Are you groaning?!

I am.

To those who have been of the mindset, that the purpose of the believer in Jesus here on earth, is to fix the earth, sweep it of sin, elect the "right" officials to make a "pure" society for Jesus to usher in His kingdom, I say... How's that been working for you?

This world is dying quickly my friends. It too is groaning for the Lord. All of Creation groans for His return to finally make all things right. That's been His job from the get-go. And He promised that He would from the beginning, since Man's fall. It hasn't been our job to fix the earth or fix people by forcing society, using our wit and wisdom to make it "Christian."

Are we tired enough of this place yet?

I am by no means being a pessimist, or worse a fatalist. No, not at all. I am simply recognizing the fact that a greater reality awaits the believer in Christ. And while we spend so much time trying to fix this planet and it's unsaved inhabitants, we miss this reality.

So what then - do we just not care about others, about things? No, I mean we take time to assess ourselves and seek the Lord to readjust our focus. Are we so fixated on our present circumstances that we are missing His bigger picture? There is an immense picture being broadened right in front of us, but many are asleep to it. The signs of the times of prophecies past have been screaming at us to pay attention.

This is not a call to fret or worry, but simply a call to seek Him with all our hearts... to lay down our differences in the Body of Christ, between brother and brother, sister and sister. Get away from the noise of the daily grinding wheel, the rat race hamster wheel, and quiet yourselves before Him. It's time we ask Him for directions without our own agendas getting in the way.

Let's be quiet for Him and listen, really listen to what He is saying.
More to come. More to say. As He allows.

Peace

Happy New Year?

AS WE ENTER A NEW YEAR I am confident, more than ever, that this world is tanking quickly and Jesus Christ remains man's only hope.

We can be as optimistic towards this world as we want, but we know that things are not getting better. We see it. We feel it. We may hide the facts with our daily routines and numbing entertainment escapes, but we are living in such unsettling and dangerous times.

Politicians and governments continue to fail us, civil unrest is on the rise, ISIS and other terrorists attacks have become a daily threat…encroaching world war, economies failing, natural calamities and climate extremes, etc., etc., etc.

Everything is out of control. We're out of control…as if we were ever really in control to begin with. I'm putting my total trust in my Creator, the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He is your only real hope. Stop hoping things will get better, like if we just get the right political figure in office. How's that been working for us?

Pay attention to the signs, the facts. God is calling, maybe screaming for us to come to Jesus now. He is the only One that will make all things right. But according to the Bible, which is extremely accurate in its prophesying of these very times we are living in, this world will go through much hell first. God is bringing judgement upon the earth…finally.

The wicked will not go unpunished. And the righteous, those who believe on His Son for salvation, will be rewarded. It's as black and white as that. And in a time where truth is questioned and life is relative (as the serpent said to Eve, "Did God really say…?") this remains to be truthful and trustworthy:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

If you don't know Jesus Christ as your own Lord and Savior then (and excuse me, but) what the hell are you waiting for? It's that critical of a time. Now is the time. "Now is the day of salvation."

Please, consider what has been shared here.

Praying for you,

Dave
