To tell others of His goodness…

His Mercy …

And His Grace …

So that others may come …

To know Him …

And so it is to continue. This is the Gospel. The Good News of Jesus Christ. That God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

THIS GOOD NEWS is better than sharing any recipe or any funny video or anything else here on social media. This is LIFE. Sharing LIFE. The only true LIFE from the Father who created all Life.

I pray that if you don't know Jesus as your own Savior and Lord, then don't put it off any longer. What are you waiting for? More evidence that He Is? All it takes is a willingness and sincerity to seek Him and you will find Him. I did and He is everything to me and all that I need for this life and the next. And He loves you so very much and wants you to know Him as your own.

Christianity is all about knowing the God of the Universe, knowing His Son Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, Yashua Ha'Mashiach. The Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and The End.

Come to Him all of you, who are heavy burdened with the cares and worries of this life, and He will give you rest.

Some bits about Christmas that I've learned…

 

Some bits about Christmas that I've learned…

1) Jesus wasn't born in December, but more than likely in September. Pope Julius I chose December 25 for the Feast of the Nativity, which also happened to be the date which coincided with the pagan festival known as Saturnalia.

2) The stable where he was born may have been a cave and not the typical stable that we see in nativity scenes. And more than likely, the wooden manger that we see Him depicted in, was hewn stone.

3) The wise men (magi) weren't present on the night of Jesus' birth. The Bible does not mention their names, nor if there were three of them.

4) There is much pagan influence in the Christmas that is celebrated today.

5) None of the above really matters because the fact remains that Christmas for me is about a birthday celebration, celebrating the birth of the very Son of God—God's gift to mankind!

Have you received the greatest Christmas present ever? His name is Jesus. He freely gave His life, suffering death on a cross for you and your sins. But He's alive. He beat the grave and rose from the dead. He lives and desires that you come to Him, that you be saved through Him. That's the Good News. It's the message of Christmas. It began in a feeding trough 2000 years ago and as the church bells ring out at Christmastime so does the Good News of Jesus Christ, God's plan of salvation and gift to mankind.

Have you accepted God's free gift of salvation? He stands knocking at the door of your heart, desiring for you to let Him in.

In this increasingly darkening world we need a little Christmas, right this very minute. We need Jesus Christ. He remains our only hope. All the signs of the current times indicate that He's coming again soon. He's coming to make things right and bring judgement upon this decaying world. And He's coming to take with Him those who know Him, those who have trusted in His name.

Please, please, please…think upon these things that I've shared here. I'm praying for you.

TC sat pondering at his desk in the quiet of his bedroom, having just finished spending
time alone with God. Pen and paper in hand, he began writing…

Dear family and friends,

    I am writing this letter because I love you and feel the need to share this critical message. Almost all of you know that I’ve had my share of shortcomings and many of you have been there to experience a lot of my personal ups and downs. So you have to know that this is not coming to you from any other angle other than straight from my heart. Life has been very different for me since I became a Christian.   

    First of all, I hope all of you know that I love Jesus Christ. He means everything to me. But in saying that, let me say I truly believe the only reason why the apostle Paul said he was the “chief of all sinners” was because TC hadn’t been born yet. Some of you would be very fair to say, “TC is a hypocrite!” and with that I totally understand. Again, I have fallen short many, many times and feel so unworthy to write this letter. But at the same time, I feel very compelled to reach out.   

    As many of you already know, I believe that these are the end-times we are living in. (If you’ve never heard me say that before it’s only because of my timidity, and hence this letter.) Many would scoff and say, “Where is the promise of His coming? It’s been said for 2000 years.” But in the Bible, Peter warned that those words and beliefs would be a sign that the Lord’s coming is very near. Peter said, “In the last days, scoffers would arise,” saying the very same thing.

    You might also say, “No man knows the day or the hour,” but Jesus also said this: “How is it you can look to the sky and know a storm is coming but yet you can’t discern the signs of the times?”

    True, no man knows the exact hour Jesus will call his church home, but Jesus Himself said we would or should know the season.

    What are the signs to look for?

    I’m all about keeping this real, keeping it simple. Number one: Jesus told us that when the fig tree (Israel) blossomed in the desert, THAT generation would not pass away. Before 1948 there was a time Israel ceased to exist as a nation. Up until that time I can understand how there were those who believed that the church had “replaced” Israel. But once the rebirth of modern Israel took place in 1948, I have to believe that anyone who had a Bible and studied it would have considered that a monumental wake-up call!

    Jesus said Israel’s rebirth would happen and that it would be a major signal that the end of the age (Church Age) was at hand and that “the time of the gentiles” was being fulfilled. The prophet Daniel said (of this same time in history), that things would change in a major way in relation to how people traveled and there would be a dramatic increase in knowledge.

    For thousands of years travel was with horses, donkeys and camels but then, boom—in the same century of Israel’s rebirth we see the crazy changes in travel. You can literally ship packages around the world in three days and can talk instantly globally through text, tweet or chat. Has knowledge increased? Satellite TV’s in SUVS with GPS talking to you while you listen to a song just downloaded seconds ago via iTunes from the UK...need I say more?

    Okay, just a couple of other things that the Bible says to look for: A global depression, growing escalation of hatred toward Israel; trying to divide her land, wars and rumors of wars (war on terrorism, North Korea-South Korea, India-Pakistan, Israel-Hamas, Iran threatening to blow Israel off the map), days of rage, people running everywhere (to and fro), love waxing cold, earthquakes in diverse places, greed on a major scale, a world gone mad, and days like Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah.

    The Bible says that at some point the whole world will cry out for a man to step on the scene and save them, a man who will later prove to be the prophesied Antichrist—a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This plea for help will start with two major issues: The economy and Israel. Right now, you all can testify that everyone is looking for answers, not just here in America but worldwide. People are saying to themselves, “Someone please bring relief.” I am sure you all have watched over the last few years the mounting violence in around the world. When has there ever been such a global cry for peace?

   So what is the reason for my letter? Jesus said a time would come when He would shout, “Come up here!” And millions of His people would be caught up to meet Him in the air and taken to heaven. Can you imagine that? He said all those who are born-again believers will be changed from mortal to immortal bodies in the blink of an eye or in the “twinkling of an eye.” THAT FAST.

    Please stop and think about that for a minute - the panic, the heartbreak - is unimaginable and indescribable, but please try and imagine. Not long after the moment Christ removes His church, a seven-year countdown will begin. Anyone still here on earth will be left to face a time called Jacob’s Trouble or the Tribulation period. It will be a time that could easily be called the Perfect Storm. All of Satan’s fury and God’s wrath will be unleashed upon those still here.

    Those who survive will have been divided into two camps—those who have pledged allegiance to Jesus Christ (after the Rapture), and those who have aligned themselves with mankind and Satan himself. If you align yourself with Jesus, you will suffer martyrdom for your decision. If you choose mankind, you will suffer eternal damnation. Either way, you will die for your decision.

    You might be thinking I’m being overly dramatic. I can’t even begin to be dramatic enough to warn you of what is soon to come. I wish I could.

    Think back to Hurricane Katrina. Suppose I was the weatherman and I knew it was coming and the eye was for sure to hit the town you live in. But rather than offending you, or for the sake of being politically correct, I chose to keep the “warning” to myself, and because I did, you were blindsided by the storm and lost your life. What kind of person or weatherman would I be?

    According to my faith, there is coming a storm upon this earth that will leave no person untouched by catastrophe. Your ONLY hope to escape is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by being born-again by the Spirit of God. If you will believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ has died and rose from the grave, you will be saved!

    Please, if you are reading this letter, do just that—believe in Jesus and confess him!

    Jesus said this: “If you will confess me before men, I will confess you to my Father. But if you deny me before men, I will deny you before my Father.”

    In closing, please let me restate that I am no better than anyone. Not at all! But I CARE ABOUT YOU. Please hear this letter for what it is. I don’t want you to be caught in the most horrific storm this world has ever seen. A seven-year storm is coming, as sure as death and taxes. Please, REPENT if you haven’t already. Make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life. I am begging you! His wrath will soon be poured out.

    Let me just say this again, I love you all. If this hurts or offends you, I’m sorry. I’d rather hurt and offend you and have you HEAR this message and make sure you KNOW it rather than to stay fearfully quiet. I wouldn’t want you to someday stand before God and have Him tell you that you didn’t make it because TC cared more about his own pride than he cared for you!”

   TC closed his notepad and prayed, “Father, I have tried to do as I felt you leading me.
I have written this letter of warning in your name. Please Lord, bless this letter and
convict all my friends and family to hear its urgent message. For your glory and purpose
in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Thoughts on knowing Jesus and desiring others to know Him...

I listened to a song last night by Sara Groves that I hadn't heard before. It seemed to do well in summing up how I feel and caused me to contemplate the things I believe in and am passionate about. And those things that one desires to share with others, but others don't seem to be interested. It can become wearisome, lonesome and heartbreaking. Like getting together with an old friend with whom you had so much in common at one time, but now you just don't seem to click.

And the thing I'm passionate about is this relationship I have with Jesus Christ that I so desire others to have, for others to know Him and to be passionate about Him as well.

There are those that know a lot about Him. They've got the facts down much better than I do regarding the Bible and its doctrines. I know very little. I don't always see things clear. And I struggle often times when trying to share this relationship and what it (He) means to me with others. But I know Him and I know His love for me. This relationship is available to you, as He so desires that all would come to Him to know Him.

The word "know" is an interesting word. In the context of "knowing the Lord" it has a much deeper meaning than just a surface knowledge about Him. This knowing refers to a deep, intimate relationship.

Imagine, the God of the Universe, the One who created everything, so desires to know you and me—intimately, deeply, profoundly—and for us to know Him likewise. Surely He knows us inside and out. The Bible says He knows the number of hairs on our heads. He knew us in our mothers' wombs where He awesomely and wonderfully made us. So He knows us better than we know ourselves. But still He desires a knowing relationship, an intimacy with each of us.

He's never one to force Himself on anyone. We have been given the gift of free will. If we only knew how passionate He is about wanting us, desiring us to come to Him. He is always standing at the door of our hearts knocking, waiting for us to respond to Him. Are we listening? Are you listening now?

Someone once said that life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved. A relationship with Jesus Christ is mysterious and wonderful. Coming to know Him is the most life-changing event one will ever experience. I've known Him for many years but I'm far from figuring it (or Him) all out. But the "problem" of my trying to figure out who I am and why I'm here is no longer a mystery for me.

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." —John 1:12-13

^"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." —Revelation 3:20

He's standing right there, right in front of you, knocking. You can refuse Him or you can welcome Him in and begin the journey of a lifetime, for now and eternity. All you need to start the relationship is to ask Him.

An open letter to Jim Palmer and so many others that have left the truth...

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first..." (2Thessalonians 2:3)

Et tu, Jim Palmer? Have you gone apostate as well? You have left the faith and traded in for another gospel which is not the Gospel. You have exchanged the word of God for lie.

Jim's latest endeavor, "The Religion-Free Bible Project," has more than just tip-toed to the line of universalism. He has embraced the ancient of lies: "I'm okay, you're okay... no matter what you believe."

Jim says:

"The greatest need of all people has always been and continues to be to know there is nothing wrong with us, that we are loved and accepted by God without condition. This was the meaning of Jesus’ life. This is the highest truth that defies, fulfills and transcends all religion, and this is the truth that sets people free."

The Gospel of Jesus Christ begs to differ with you, Jim. There is something VERY wrong with all of us. SIN. Sin is what's wrong with us. It's what has been wrong with us since the Garden, since Adam and Eve first sinned and brought sin into this world.

Yes, God loves us. Indeed He does and evident in that He sent His Son to die for us. Yes, God is love. Jesus demonstrated to us the Father, who the Father is, and that He loves us dearly. But the SIN problem remained until the Cross and Christ's voluntary death on it.

You knew all this, Jim. What happened?

He goes on to say:

"We hope the impact of The Religion-Free Bible Project in people’s lives will include:

• knowing your Self as whole, perfect and complete
• honoring the divine in all people accepting every human being as your sister or brother
• being an expression of love, grace, peace and goodness in the world
• seeing God in all things
• building a world that works for everyone
• creating something beautiful that doesn’t exist now
• living your purpose as showing up and fully present in the now
• leaving no stone unturned in discovering, creating and being all you are"

Jim, you have bought into the "God is love therefore all roads lead to Him" lie. It's new-age mumbo jumbo that's really nothing new. It's what the devil, the Father of Lies, has been whispering into man's ears for millennia: "Did God really say...?"

I believe like so many like you (I was one), who had gotten so worn out by religion being a substitute for real relationship with God and others, walked away from the institution of Church and embraced the freedom from it and took on the quest for something better. But you went too far. You tossed the baby out with the bathwater. You not only left the building, but you also left the Truth.

There remains only ONE way to the Father and that is through Jesus and one personally accepting Him and His atonement on the Cross.
Please Jim... come back to where you left. Time is short as the prophetic writings on the wall are shouting louder and louder.

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first..."

A great falling away has been taking place for a while now and it is increasing rapidly along with so many other signs of the Lord's soon return.

Repentance is still required in this day... regardless of man's attempt to redefine God and His plans.

Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Return to The Gospel.

"Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom[e] of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:14)

"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures…" (1 Corinthians 15:1-5)

Am I "worthy to escape these things?"

"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” —Luke 21:36

Will I be counted worthy?

What makes me worthy? Is it my works? Is it my being 100% sure that I have forgiven everyone so that I may be completely forgiven? Is it being sure I've left nothing undone and that I've kept my life spotlessly pure? If so, I am in trouble and so are you.

Here's what (Who) makes us worthy:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."—John 3:16-17

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." —John 17:3

"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." —John 5:13

Here's what (Who) assures us that we have been made worthy:

"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory." —Ephesians 1:13-14

The Perfecter of our faith is the One who keeps us and assures us, that by His stripes we are healed, by His finished work at Calvary and our acceptance of His work and righteousness we are made whole and counted worthy.

I need reminding of this.

When I begin to doubt if my salvation is secure
And wondering how much more this life that I can endure,
I'm reminded of the time I gave this life of mine to Him
And the memories of all He's done come rushing back in.

Jesus Christ the only way. True or false?

Tolerance and interfaith dialogue sounds so good and right. We should respect one another regardless of faith, sex or color, but for the believer in Christ there is a danger when such tolerance and respect turns to compromise. The belief that Jesus Christ is the only way, truth, life, and only way to the Father, cannot mingle with contrary beliefs. We cannot believe that Jesus is the only way while at the same time believe all "religious paths" are okay. All roads to not lead to God.

The Good News of Jesus Christ is more than the "Golden Rule." It is more than just loving our neighbor as our self. "For it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..."

Jesus Christ is not a set of religious principals to practice, but is the incarnate God who became a man "that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Apostle Paul said to the Corinthians:

“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.”

Apostasy (for Christians - the falling away from truth of the Gospel) is part of the evidence that we are in fact living in the very last days. Jesus is coming soon. Do you know Him?

"And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues." —Revelation 18:4

"Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." —James 4:4

Who do you say He is?

What about this Jesus Christ?

Who do you say he is? I mean, really. You may say you are a Christian, because after all, you're not a Hindu or Muslim or Jew. You may go to church and even be very involved in the practices and traditions, programs and committees and even ascribe to the doctrines and creeds of the faith. But what do you really believe in regards to this person Jesus Christ?

Is he just a good human teacher? Do you see him as one who just left us some good principals to try to follow? As C.S. Lewis said that He did not leave that for interpretation, but made it clear to his being the very Son of God* and the audacious claim that He is the only way, truth and life and that no man can come to the Father except through Him.

Maybe you believe that He truly is the Son of God, but do you believe as in the biblical definition of belief?

The Amplified Bible version brings clarity:

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” -John 3:16

A general belief in Christ, as in one believes that He did exist, is not the same as believing in Him.

“You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” -James 2:19

This is the most important question you and I will ever answer in our lives.

So who do YOU say He is?

ARE YOU GROANING?

From Romans 8:

I believe that the present suffering is nothing compared to the coming glory that is going to be revealed to us. The whole creation waits breathless with anticipation for the revelation of God’s sons and daughters. Creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice—it was the choice of the one who subjected it—but in the hope that the creation itself will be set free from slavery to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of God’s children.

We know that the whole creation is groaning together and suffering labor pains up until now. And it’s not only the creation. We ourselves who have the Spirit as the first crop of the harvest also groan inside as we wait to be adopted and for our bodies to be set free. We were saved in hope. If we see what we hope for, that isn’t hope. Who hopes for what they already see? But if we hope for what we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

Are you tired, weary, heavy laden, looking, seeking, desiring rest?

Christian, are you tired of this world and growing in hope and desiring for the Lord's return?

Are you groaning?!

I am.

To those who have been of the mindset, that the purpose of the believer in Jesus here on earth, is to fix the earth, sweep it of sin, elect the "right" officials to make a "pure" society for Jesus to usher in His kingdom, I say... How's that been working for you?

This world is dying quickly my friends. It too is groaning for the Lord. All of Creation groans for His return to finally make all things right. That's been His job from the get-go. And He promised that He would from the beginning, since Man's fall. It hasn't been our job to fix the earth or fix people by forcing society, using our wit and wisdom to make it "Christian."

Are we tired enough of this place yet?

I am by no means being a pessimist, or worse a fatalist. No, not at all. I am simply recognizing the fact that a greater reality awaits the believer in Christ. And while we spend so much time trying to fix this planet and it's unsaved inhabitants, we miss this reality.

So what then - do we just not care about others, about things? No, I mean we take time to assess ourselves and seek the Lord to readjust our focus. Are we so fixated on our present circumstances that we are missing His bigger picture? There is an immense picture being broadened right in front of us, but many are asleep to it. The signs of the times of prophecies past have been screaming at us to pay attention.

This is not a call to fret or worry, but simply a call to seek Him with all our hearts... to lay down our differences in the Body of Christ, between brother and brother, sister and sister. Get away from the noise of the daily grinding wheel, the rat race hamster wheel, and quiet yourselves before Him. It's time we ask Him for directions without our own agendas getting in the way.

Let's be quiet for Him and listen, really listen to what He is saying.

In case we forgot... in case you don't know...

Ladies and gentlemen... There is a lot of noise in the world. It's been there since the beginning. So in case we forgot... Jesus remains the ONLY Truth, the ONLY Light, and the ONLY Way. Knowing Him, walking with Him, having a relationship with Him is infinitely more real than knowing a religion. It cannot be compared to anything else. For the believer - in Him is who we are. We identify with nothing else and with no one else - so purely, so perfectly.

John 1:1-18 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
